Italian and Japanese share a kitchen on London Circuit
Two cuisines, one pass, no identity crisis. Clover Dining runs Italian and Japanese technique through the same menu at 197 London Circuit, and the combination works far more often than it should.
It's a short walk from the Canberra Theatre Centre, so pre-theatre crowds pack the room. Book ahead for weekends.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Recently tried Clover Dining’s $33 Special Lunch, and it exceeded every expectation. The set menu included miso soup, heirloom tomato, sesame-glazed cauliflower, rice, and a choice of either Chicken Katsu or Angus Sirloin. Every course was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavour. I had the Chicken Katsu, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The chicken was incredibly tender—absolutely melt-in-your-mouth—with a perfectly crisp coating and a delicious yuzu kosho mayo that brought everything together. Others at our table chose the Sirloin, and every review was glowing, with the steak cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The quality of the food, generous portions, attentive service, and relaxed atmosphere made for a fantastic dining experience. At $33, the lunch special is exceptional value for money and one of the best lunch offerings I’ve come across. We’ll definitely be back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Clover Dining to anyone looking for an outstanding meal.

My daughter recently treated me and two of our dear friends to a Degustation dinner with paired cocktails and wines at this restaurant. We all thoroughly enjoyed each dish and the accompanying wines/cocktails. A lovely serene ambiance and friendly, attentive staff (Tobias in particular) added to our experience. The ‘Happy Birthday’ message on our deserts (we were celebrating three birthdays) was a lovely touch.

We ate here with a group of 4 people. We were seated promptly and our server Brianna was amazing. She was knowledgeable and so helpful. The cocktails and wines were delicious. The food was so flavorful and the combinations unexpected. Everyone in our party loved our dishes. Would definitely go again.

Worth every single penny. The Italian-Japanese fusion here is done exceptionally well. The burrata was a standout — full of flavour and paired perfectly with the focaccia. Every dish we tried was beautifully executed, with great balance and attention to detail. I was practically ready to lick the plate clean to finish the last bite. Definitely lives up to the hype.
