Who runs this site

Novovibe is a guide to newly opened places, run from Breda in the Netherlands. It lists 25,726 places in 1,419 cities across 157 countries.

For the personal data described on this page, Novovibe is the controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Write to [email protected] for anything covered here, including a request about your own data.

The short version

The site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, carries no advertising and builds no profiles. Personal data reaches us only when you type it into a form. Nothing is sold, and nothing is passed to another party for their own purposes.

What we collect, and why

Newsletter

Your email address, the language you subscribed in, and the country or city page you subscribed from. Used to send the newsletter and to keep it relevant to where you signed up. Legal basis: your consent. Kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the link in every edition.

Contact form

Your name and email address, and optionally your company, phone number and message. Used to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to the people who write to us. Kept for two years after the exchange ends.

Suggesting a place

What you tell us about the venue, plus your name, email address, optional phone number, and whether you are the owner. Used to check the tip and, if it holds up, to add the place. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in maintaining the guide, and your consent for the listing and images where you tick those boxes. Kept for two years.

Booking requests

Your name, email address, the date, time and party size, and any note you add. Passed on to the venue you asked to book. The venue confirms or declines the table, not Novovibe. Legal basis: taking steps at your request. Kept for two years.

Server logs

Every request to the site leaves a line in the web server log: IP address, time, the page requested, browser type and referring page. Used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in the security of the service. Logs rotate daily and are deleted after fourteen days.

Businesses and people on place pages

Place pages carry business information: address, opening date, website, social account and, where it is publicly known, a phone number. Where a page names a person, it is because that name is part of the venue's own public presentation of itself. This is published on our legitimate interest in maintaining a dated public record of new openings, and the interest of readers in finding one.

If you are named on a page, or run a place listed here, you can ask for the entry to be corrected or removed. Write to [email protected]; every request is handled by hand.

Photographs

The photographs on place pages come from the venues' own public social accounts. Copyright rests with the venue or the photographer. If a photograph shows you and you would rather it were not here, tell us and we will take it down.

Who else processes data

  • Hetzner Online GmbH, the server the site and its database run on, in Falkenstein, Germany.
  • Cloudflare, Inc., sits in front of the site as a content delivery network and security layer, stores the photographs, and provides the Turnstile check on our forms. It sees the IP address and details of every request.

Both act as processors on our instructions, under a data processing agreement. Cloudflare is established in the United States; that transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. No one else receives your data. If the newsletter is ever sent through an email delivery service, that service will be named here before the first edition goes out.

Turnstile on our forms

Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which establishes that a submission comes from a person rather than a script. The widget loads from challenges.cloudflare.com, on form pages only, and Cloudflare receives your IP address and some technical characteristics of your browser in order to make that judgement. It is not used to follow you between sites. Novovibe receives only the verdict: pass or fail.

What we do not do

  • No advertising, retargeting or sale of data.
  • No third-party analytics, such as Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel.
  • No profiling, and no automated decision-making that produces legal effects (article 22 GDPR).
  • No special categories of data, and no service directed at children.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for access to your data, correction of it, its deletion, restriction of its processing, or a copy in a portable form. Where we rely on legitimate interest you can object to the processing. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before you did.

Send requests to [email protected]. We answer within one month, and may ask you to send the request from the email address it concerns so that we are not handing your data to someone else. If you are not satisfied with the outcome you can complain to the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority in the EU country where you live.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS only. The database sits on the server rather than with a third party, the editing tools behind it are password-protected, and backups are encrypted in transit and stored with Cloudflare.

Changes

Any material change to how we handle data is made on this page, with a new date. Last updated 15 August 2026.
