What is Novovibe?
Novovibe is a guide to newly opened places: restaurants, bars, breakfast and brunch places, shops, cultural venues and hotels. It currently lists 25,726 places in 1,419 cities across 157 countries, in 4 languages.
Every entry is added by hand and carries a real opening date. Places that have been open for years are not listed. Novovibe started in Breda in 2026.
What does the name mean?
Novo comes from the Latin novus: new. Vibe is an informal English word for the atmosphere of a place.
Together they stand for the feel of somewhere new: the short period in which a place has just opened, nothing is worn in yet, and nobody has told you what to think of it. That is what the site records, and it records it as two separate things: when a place opened, and what kind of place it is. Both are stored separately in the database, which is why every entry carries a verified opening date as well as a written description.
In text the name is set as one word with an initial capital: Novovibe. Not NovoVibe, and not Novo Vibe.
Why Novovibe exists
Established guides describe places that have already built a reputation, and that takes years. Information about a new opening is spread across the venue's own social accounts, local news and word of mouth. It is rarely dated, and once the opening week has passed it becomes hard to retrieve.
Novovibe was set up to close that gap: a single dated record of new openings, maintained city by city and held in the same structure worldwide, so that openings in different countries can be compared. The method started in Breda and now covers 157 countries.
Figures and data
We compile figures on request: openings per city, country or month, growth within a category, and which neighbourhoods are gaining places. State what the article needs and we will prepare the data.
Please cite Novovibe as the source and link to the page the figures were taken from.

Use of the Novovibe logo
The Novovibe logo may be used in editorial coverage, in print and online. Contact us and we will supply it in the correct file formats, in colour and in black and white, with a transparent background.
Use the logo as supplied. It should not be redrawn, stretched, recoloured, given its own background or effects, or placed in a way that suggests Novovibe is involved in or endorses the publication.
Use of photographs
The photographs on Novovibe come from the places themselves, usually from their own social accounts. Copyright rests with the venue or with the photographer who took the picture. Novovibe is not the rights holder and cannot grant permission to reproduce them.
To publish a photograph, contact the venue directly. Each page lists the venue's website and social account where these are known. For Novovibe's own material, such as the logo, the section above applies.
City and country overview pages sometimes use a stock photo from Pexels instead, when no photo from a listed place is available yet; that is credited directly on the page.
