Hibiscus Haven is a short lane at Miami, but Paddock Bakery lives on it too, making this the most competitive coffee address on the coast. Choubidou still pulls its own crowd.
Expect a French lean on the menu and a queue on weekend mornings. Go early if you want a table.

This little cafe is lovely! It has the best customer service around the area! We ordered take away coffee and cheesecake! Will definitely come back for more breakfast next time!

Great experience this weekend at Choubidou Cafe. The service, in particular, was fantastic. It was very busy, but we didn’t have to wait long for a table. My mum has an eye condition, and the wind can make her quite uncomfortable. When we asked if we could move to a warmer table away from the wind, the staff were incredibly accommodating and didn’t hesitate to help. The food was delicious, and the kindness shown by the team really made our visit. Thank you so much!

The eggs ben with fried chicken was really good. Everything on it just worked. The crepe of the savoury chicken crepe was really good too, but the sous vide chicken just tasted dry and overcooked. The croissant was nice and crispy and fluffy and buttery. The banofee pie is AMAZING.

Everything was absolutely delicious! From the food to the coffee (the best cappuccino on the Gold Coast) every detail was prepared with so much care and passion. I honestly have no words to express how proud I am of what they have built. Their hard work, dedication, and love for what they do shine through in every aspect of the café. I came here because I had been craving crêpes for days, especially one with a lemon sauce, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. The crêpe was soft, light, and full of flavour, and the lemon sauce was absolutely delicious — such a great combination. Of course, I ordered a coffee as well, along with poached eggs on toast, and everything complemented each other perfectly. I love trying new cafés, and I have to say this one really impressed me. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the place is clean, and the staff are genuinely friendly and attentive, which makes a huge difference and makes you want to come back. Highly recommended!
