Nano Café calls itself a microcafetería, and that's exactly right. A few tables, a short menu built around specialty coffee and house pastry, nothing else fighting for your attention. It landed among Bolivia's top 30 coffee shops within its first year.

The room is minimal, clean lines, natural light through the front window facing the Bata shoe store. Local design accounts noticed the space before most food writers got to the coffee. Go for a flat white and whatever pastry's on the counter that day.

The coffee is a good well rounded blend. Ask for a double shot with the cappuccino to get a decent strength. It's medium roast arabica it's rounded choc notes and bright. Croissant flaky if heated. Napolitano Sandwich is chunky and delicious. Cheap as chips as well. Get your fix here

They have the most amazing sandwich toast which the cook (who I believe is also the owner) slowly and meticulously make with lots of care. Great coffee and all are very very cheap compared to anywhere in the continent. I returned there for every breakfast during my stay in Sucre

For the second day I had my 'breakfast' here: a cappuccino and cinnamon roll. Really good coffee and I love the cinnamon roll. And the lady at the counter is very friendly!!
