Wine and singani tastings inside Tarija's 150-year-old blue mansion
Gran Reserva just moved into Castillo Azul, the blue mansion on Calle Bolívar a merchant built as a country house roughly 150 years ago. It calls itself Tarija's first window to the world, a showroom for local wine and singani alongside specialty coffee, inside one of the city's most photographed landmarks.
A glass of wine with a cheese-and-ham board runs around 30 bolivianos. Grab a coffee first, then join the castle's own guided tours. Putting the tasting room in the most recognizable building in town isn't subtle, but for a city built on vineyards, it works.
