Find the unmarked door inside Dakota Shopping and you're in Monet, a bar that builds its whole identity around the painter, from the cocktail list to the lighting.
It's the only bar doing this in the Sudoeste. Ask around at Dakota if you can't spot the entrance, it isn't obvious from the street.

Despite really liking Monet, the special Valentine's Day menu proved to be a bit too ambitious. The price of R$ 350 per couple, including a bottle of wine with the 3-course menu (which should be limited to red wine, given the lack of facilities to chill white or rosé), is average for the occasion, and the dishes were tasty and creative. However, the restaurant's strength has always been the intimate experience, the drinks, and the appetizers, so we had to ask for one of the main courses to be reheated (the wait caused the other to get cold), one of the appetizers was incorrect, and one of the dessert options ran out, with couples who ordered later managing to get the last few. The service from both the owners and especially the waiters, along with the ambiance and music, mitigated the disappointing food experience. In the end, the impression left is that it lacked the robustness to fully deliver on the experience advertised (and for which one pays the money).

I went to Monet on a Saturday for the Bottomless Brunch and it was worth every penny. The drinks are amazing and everything we ordered was delicious. The service was very attentive. The atmosphere is beautiful and cozy. It's definitely worth a visit.
