Vegetarian plates downstairs, yoga upstairs on Old Market Street
Simple Things splits its space on Old Market Street between a vegetarian and vegan kitchen and a yoga studio one flight up. The menu wanders from pizza and European plates to smoothies and coffee, open daily from 8am to 10pm.
Upstairs there's a couch and board games, built for lingering rather than turning tables. Dogs are welcome too, useful in a town like Kampot where street dogs are everywhere.

Amazing experience all round, the food was so good, we got the tempeh scramble and the tofu wrap, both meals were unbelievable! I definitely recommend visiting when in Kampot

This place is amazing! We had the vegan burger and crispy tofu wrap. Both were phenomenal, big portions and so tasty.

A bit of a mixed experience hence the 3 stars. I first went for dinner last night. Food was tasty, good atmosphere and the staff was great, friendly, attentive and efficient (white westerner guy who was serving the whole place by himself). Even if it was a busy evening i got served quickly and the whole experience was very positive. Not so much this morning. I arrived around 10.30am, restaurant competely empty if not for only one young man playing on his phone, who turned out to be the waiter. Service unfortunately was terrible, i only ordered a cheesecake and coffee which took longer than dinner on a busy night. When i received the cake the staff told me to wait a little bit as it was quite cold but in fact it was still frozen and inedible, therefore i had to send it back. I then had to get up again and get the menu myself as the young staff, after any interaction, seemed more interested in rushing off to any seat and play on his phone again. I ordered instead the peanut butter and pineapple jam (not really a jam, more like thinly chopped pineapple). Any following request i had to get up as the staff was immersed in his world of online games or whatever he was doing on his phone. A bit of a surreal experience. I will think twice before going back

The most delicious vegetarian/vegan food! So many lovely options. We had the Mediterranean breakfast and the Dali bowl, and the lime&mint iced tea. All 10/10. Really cute place with games and books upstairs. Swimwear and games to buy. Clean kitchen and nice loo too.
