A cocktail bar above a gelato shop, built on Cambodian flavors

Skip the rum-and-coke list. Calao's menu runs on Mondulkiri oranges, Kampot pepper and native jackfruit, poured across an eight-seat Art Deco counter lined with jigger-shaped wall lamps and concrete tiles hand-poured by one of Cambodia's last workshops still making them.

Order the Bee Miso first: bourbon, honey, miso, cocoa and pineapple, a strange-looking combination that works. Find it up a staircase above a corner gelato shop in the Old Market quarter, just off Pub Street. Open nightly from 5pm.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down the best cocktail bar in town! The cocktails are always on point, and the Old Fashioned is one of the best I've had. Big shoutout to Amin for creating such an awesome place, and to Yoon and Srey Pheak for always taking great care of us. They're super friendly, welcoming, and make every visit feel special. Great drinks, amazing service, and the best vibes. If you're looking for a cocktail bar in town, this is the place to be. Highly recommend it!

Great hidden bar in Siem Reap. Professional bar set-up, glassware and classic Cocktails. Probably the best quality bar in SR. The atmosphere is homey and the owner very chatty and laid-back. The young female bartender is very cool and you can clearly see that she is comfortable being behind the mixing station!
