Cuba Libre sits on the street behind Kribi's mairie, a small Afro-Cuban bar built around mojitos, rum and a menu of tapas and grilled skewers. The salsa nights and Latin playlist set it apart from the beach bars that dominate the rest of town.

It keeps mid-length hours (roughly 4pm to midnight) and has built a following among Kribi's younger crowd looking for something with more bite than a beachfront lager. It's the kind of place locals point tourists toward when they want a proper drink rather than a sundowner.
