Grilled snacks on the Down Beach dockyard.

Mars sits right on Down Beach with a run of private tables at the back that look out over the beach front and the dockyard, which is the reason people put up with prices that run a bit above what the rest of Down Beach charges. It's a grill more than a full kitchen, fish and skewered meat cooked over open coals.

The sunset view from the back tables is the whole appeal. Couples and small groups tend to book those specifically rather than take whatever seat opens up. The food is fine rather than the draw.

  Very airy environment with sea view, it can take a while for staffs to locate you when people are many. They do grilled chicken and soya but it doesn't taste same all the time, like the cook is changing. Drinks are affordable from a 1000frs
