Fresh pasta, prosecco and a DJ on Grande Allée

Mora makes pasta daily across two floors on Grande Allée Est and pours prosecco cocktails until the room turns into something closer to a party. DJs and performers show up most weekends.

Grande Allée is where Quebec City goes out, and this is the current answer to that. Eat early, stay late, or accept you will be shouting.

We stumbled upon this spot for an afternoon cocktail and then decided to try their afternoon special - appetizer, pasta and dessert. Scrumptious! We loved it all. Fav service and friendly staff.

I enjoyed the terrace although I was probably one of the few sober person out there. I had sparkling water and the Amalfi cocktail which tasted like Italy but from afar.

The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the staff were very polite and professional. We ordered the ravioli and the filet mignon. Unfortunately, we did not feel the food was worth the price. The ravioli was around $40, but the quality was just average and the portion was quite small. For that price, I expected something much better. The filet mignon was $59. It was cooked well and tasted good, but the portion was also very small for the price. One positive point was the service. We asked for our younger daughter's pasta without vegetables, but it came with vegetables by mistake. When we mentioned it, the staff apologized and replaced the dish right away. We appreciated that. Overall, it is a beautiful restaurant with respectful staff, but the food quality and portion sizes did not justify the prices.

Choose the 5 courses menu for two people, you get taste of everything. Staff is friendly and recommended is what wine to pair with our food. Music is a bit loud to my taste but overall a good experience.

We had the most amazing meal in this beautiful upscale restaurant where the server, Oliver, assisted us with our selections. The tagliatelle with giant shrimp in a lobster bisque was the best pasta dish we have ever had. The foccacia was perfectly seasoned, served with top quality balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil. The dessert was also exceptional. We didn't find the prices outrageous compared with restaurants in Old Town. If you are going for supper plan for an extended meal. Think traditional Italian style dining where each dish is savored. If you are in a hurry and are not a foodie then I would suggest you try somewhere else. If you appreciate the very best quality of food, then make a reservation, take a deep breath, and enjoy the ambiance, excellent service and exceptional food.
