A Spanish-Latin gastrobar pouring craft beer and gin in Palmarejo
Craft beer and gin cocktails instead of the rum-and-cane lineup found elsewhere in Praia. That's the pitch at this Spanish and Afro-Latin gastrobar off Avenida Santo Antão, near the Palmarejo-Achada de Baixo border, where tapas and huevos rotos anchor a menu built for grazing.
Grilled octopus, fried calamari and cured meat boards keep the tables full for hours. Dancing music picks up as the tapas crowd turns into an evening one, and the staff's rundown of the menu is half the fun. Spanish and Latin American flavors are still rare on menus here, and this place owns that gap.

Very cool place. Although, the customer service needs to be reviewed. Not very foreigner friendly.. (or maybe not our day)!

This seems like a very popular place. The Spanish ham is authentic and proudly displayed. They have an extensive winelist but while we were ordering wine the price is adjusted by the server with a pen to just a bit higher. The service was good but the food was only ok. The steak filled with cheese and wine was very chewy and a bit dry.

As a cuban restaurant the food was good. I got the fried calamari. Quantity wasn much but it had good flavor. The environmet is decent. I suppose at night it would be better. The interior decor was more urban then fully representing the cuban culture which i would have enjoyed more.
