Peregrino

Mexican and Peruvian plates, cocktails after
Peregrino mixes Mexican and Peruvian cooking with a proper bar behind it, which puts it outside the standard Guatapé offer entirely.
It keeps later hours than most of the town, so it works better as the last stop of the night than as dinner itself.

Recommended by a local Colombian, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was amazing, and the whole place had such a great energy. They were showing the football match, which made the vibes even better. Everyone from the front staff to the waiters was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Such a fun experience with great food, great people, and an awesome atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We visited this restaurant on our stay in Medellín and on a day trip to Guadape to have lunch. I ordered pork but there was an error so I was served pork belly which was fried. It was well seasoned but fried too dry, served with rice, plantain, another starch (don't know the name) vegetables and a juice. I like gravy and there was none....maybe a thing in Colombia 🤷🏽♀️ Overall the meal was Ok and the service was good.

Ended up eating here twice, the place was always packed with locals and tourists. Prices are extremely fair and the food was great. It reminded me of your neighborhood pub and bar. There was a lot of options for food, and everything was good. Nothing to write home about, but it seemed like a safe bet, versus taking a risk at somewhere that had people standing out front. Trying to corral tourists in.

Excellent food. We ordered churrasco, risotto, mondongo, octopus, chicken breast and other items. Every bit of food was consumed. The flavors were on point. The coffee is delicious. Colombians know their coffee. The establishment is super clean. Being here gave us a sense of exquisite status. Just a little nicer than the usual restaurant in the area. Staff was pleasant and patient with our group size.

Peregrino is without a doubt the best restaurant in Guatapé. The service is impeccable and fast. The food is delicious, especially the Chaufa rice. It’s located right in the town center, which makes it very easy to get to. I’ll definitely be coming back ❤️
