The sourdough here is the best bread in Mompox, and locals will tell you the same without hesitation. Café 1700 bakes most of what it sells, inside the old Legado de la Marquesa house.

Coffee, cold drinks and sandwiches keep the day moving. When the town shuts down in the afternoon heat and nobody's moving, this is where you sit it out.
