Steaks and a serious wine list where the Korzo begins

The spot on Jelačićev trg never had a restaurant before, which is strange given the location. Chef Nenad Komes, already a known name to Zagreb diners, fixed that with a menu built around steaks and a few classics: beef tartare with fresh vegetables, a fish special on Fridays.

The wine list is the real draw. A well-regarded Croatian sommelier put it together, mixing Kvarner producers with wider Croatian and European names. Come for a full meal or just one glass at the bar, it's built for lingering.

Honestly, one of the few places in the city center where you can get really good food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is great, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the chef definitely deserves credit. The dishes aren’t overloaded with sauces or spices — you can actually taste the ingredients, which is pretty rare these days and really appreciated. Definitely deserves a higher rating than some places with better reviews.

Beautiful, modern & elegant ambient, delicious food and such a kind waitress that was serving us. We truly needed something like this in Rijeka. ☺️ We tried the authentic carbonara with egg yolk&guanciale which was 10/10! Tuna tartare was also delicious, fresh and tasty. They have a great selection of wine and for dessert we had a souffle. Everything was great. The menu has a variety of dishes, from meat, to fish and everything in between and the prices are reasonable. We will come again. ☺️

Great food, amazing ambiance, very friendly staff. Extended wine list to pair with food, and prices are very affordable. Would give 10 stars if possible. 10/10
