Designer vintage and secondhand on the same rack, on Radićeva

Gattopardo skips the usual split between luxury vintage and ordinary secondhand. One rack might hold a hundred-year-old bag next to an eighties designer piece, and below it a plain wool coat priced to actually wear.

That mix is the reason to stop in. Zagreb has plenty of secondhand shops sorted strictly by price bracket, but few where a designer rack shares the room with something you'd wear on an ordinary Tuesday. The selection is small and turns over constantly.

Good to know

• Prices span a wide range on purpose, cheap wool coats hang near four-figure designer pieces, so look at everything.
• Radićeva is the climb from the main square towards the Upper Town; the shop is a couple of minutes up.

  Big selection and at first glance looks very interesting, but I found it too crowded making it difficult to look through items. Gave up after a while....Compared to other countries where I've lived and always " thrift" shop, I found the prices rather high.
