Tables under coconut palms, seafood-heavy Caribbean and Cuban plates.
La Colonial sets its tables right under the coconut palms on Calle Martí, close enough to the beach mood that a swimsuit wouldn't look out of place. The kitchen runs seafood-heavy Caribbean and Cuban standards. Vegetarian plates make the menu too, not a given at every paladar in town.
Service gets singled out as unusually smooth for a place this relaxed, a balance a lot of Baracoa's restaurants don't land. It's open daily, 10am to 10pm.

At this restaurant, we were presented with one of the most comprehensive menus we saw in Baracoa. We were able to try the famous Tetí dish, a very typical dish from that region. And although we had a minor issue with the preparation of the rice portions, I consider it a highly recommended place for visitors. The ambiance is typical of a centuries-old colonial house.

The restaurant is in a historic home that has been in the family for three generations. Do not be in a rush. The food does take some time to arrive but the lamb in a rich gravy was one of the best I’ve had. Also their soups are always freshly made and flavourful. This has been our place to go every year.

Very nice restaurant with good service and excellent food. We actually went there twice because we loved their vegetarian option. About the other reviews concerning the two different menus in Peso and Dollar I have to admit that there are two different menus and the prices may differ. But I wouldn’t blame the owner for the prices as one know that (nowadays) the exchange rate situation in Cuba is very complicated. Furthermore, you can always just say that you want to pay in Pesos.

Delicious food, large portion. We had the fish in coconut sauce. At almost €10, the dish is quite expensive!
