SUMAI

Camagüey Opened 31 December 2025

Cuba's first Chinese-platform retail store, testing the format here.

SUMAI picked Camagüey, not Havana, for its first physical shop, a pilot store on Calle Maceo for the joint venture between Cuban and Chinese partners. The platform behind it sells everything from solar panels to packaged food online.

The store stocks household goods that are otherwise hard to find through normal retail channels. It's more curiosity than culinary destination, but state media covered the opening as a small milestone for the city's commercial life.
