Bar Gato Negro

A bar tucked into the restored Plaza de la Marqueta market hall.
Bar Gato Negro is one of several small bars inside the Plaza de la Marqueta, the restored 1848 market building at Callejón Mercado #1 that now functions as central Holguín's mixed cultural and nightlife complex.
Sharing the plaza with half a dozen other bars and cafés means the crowd moves between venues over a night out. Gato Negro's niche within that mix is a straightforward drinks-and-international-bites menu.

They did an OK job. Reviews are a bit too negative. I did have to flagg down my waitress to get her to pay attention to me. But I think she was focused on a big table. Food was OK. Limited choices. Didn’t have any chicken. Everything else was just fine.
