A design workshop that revived Holguín's old fashion house.

Karuka cuts, sews and designs everything in house: dresses, blouses and children's clothes for Holguín's women and girls. A second counter trades as Colibrí, on the first boulevard beside Pizzería Venecia.

Karuka moved into La Maisón on the Plaza de la Marqueta and turned the space back into a shop, once the city's own fashion house. Its clothes have walked the runway at the EXPOHOLGUÍN trade fair and the founding event of the Red de Emprendedoras Holguineras.

Good to know

• La Maisón is beside the Guamá building on the Plaza de la Marqueta; the second Karuka counter, Colibrí, is on the boulevard next to Pizzería Venecia.
• Everything is cut and sewn in-house, so ask about alterations or made-to-measure.
