A late-night corner bar-restaurant with cocktails and pizza

Lobster shows up cheaper here than pork, a Viñales quirk visitors notice fast. It runs late by local standards, open to 2am most nights. The corner terrace fills up as other kitchens in town start closing.

Cubar sits right across from the main square and the Polo Montañez cultural center, in the middle of Viñales' nightlife. The menu leans Latin and international: homemade pizza, tagliatelle al ragù, a cocktail list drawing on Cuban and international bar traditions.

To begin, the service from 1 waiter in particular was exceptional. he catered to our needs and helped us a ton. The food was impeccable and definitely recommend the burgers. So you may ask: why the 4 stars and not 5? Well we came twice in the span of 2 days. First night we dinner and second was lunch. the first was perfect but the second was slightly worse. There was a power cut when we had arrived. They needed to tell us what we available and Not available. However more than half of the happy hour menu had been stopped. I understand that electricity is a big part on cooking but not being able to fry croquettes is veery confusing on how you can't? My thinking is that you use oil to fry? I understand that I may be wrong,and I would like to say that this is not a negative just a confusing point for me overall I would come again though.

One of best places in Cuba. Perfect food, big portions, good prices. And the waiter Hans was very nice, made our dinner much better, with big smiles on our faces! Really great service! 🫶🏻
