A bigger-city coffee vibe lands on Kongensgade

Sofia Ciarcinski runs her first café here, and it shows in the pace: brisker, more city-coffee-shop than the older places nearby. She's said flat out she wants Esbjerg to feel like it has a proper café scene, and this is her test case.

The menu keeps it simple: coffee, matcha, small dishes, a brunch board. Nothing exotic, but the room does the talking. Weekend mornings are busiest, so go early if you want a table.

This was the best breakfast and coffee we had so far in all of Denmark during our roadtrip. The staff was also super friendly which only made the experience even better. If we ever get the chance to come back we definitely will!

We had a good experience overall. The food and drinks were delicious, and I can highly recommend the iced matcha latte with blueberry as well as the açaí bowl, they were both excellent. The only downside was the waiting time. We had to wait around 40 minutes for our food, even though the café wasn’t particularly busy. It would have been appreciated if the staff had informed us about the expected wait in advance. Other than that, we really enjoyed our visit.
