Handmade wooden crafts, made by a father and son

Diego Patiño and his son Wladimir carve wooden pieces in San Vicente instead of buying stock from a factory. Their work has turned up alongside the butterfly-and-frog line sold at Mariposas de Mindo, part of a small local supply chain rather than a big one.

There's no walk-in shop here. Most orders happen by phone or through their own site, mindocarpentry.com. Message ahead if you want something specific instead of hoping to find it on a shelf.
