Twenty Spritz, one bar, zero excuses

Montpellier finally has a bar that treats Spritz as a category, not a drink. Le Bulle Dingue runs about twenty variations on it, alongside local craft beers, with cocktails between 7.50 and 10 euros, on Rue du Pila Saint-Gély between the Écusson and the Corum.

Owners Emma and Michaël could have made this a gimmick. Instead it plugged a real hole in the neighborhood's bar crawl, and it shows on busy nights.

A really nice new bar in the Ecusson district. A lovely couple (the owners) are smiling, attentive, helpful, and efficient—in short, perfect. You can eat tapas there and drink their house cocktails (original recipes), and you can even take away dishes from nearby restaurants. Pure bliss. We'll be back.
