Niche perfume, no department-store filler

Skip the mainstream aisles. Nischengold on Hussenstraße is built entirely around niche fragrances, the kind you won't find at a typical Konstanz department store, picked by the owner who runs the place.

There's no cosmetics counter or gift-shop clutter to wade through here. Since the border sits a few hundred meters away, the shop ships to Switzerland as well as across Germany.

We have a very good experience, the owner recommend us 2 fragrances, we try a lot of others, but ended up buying the first ones he recommended, he knows a lot about parfums and was very nice with us.. Strongly recommend if you like fragrances, they also have a very good selection of brands there. 11 out of 10.

A very beautiful and understated shop; nothing distracts from the lovely perfume bottles. Most importantly, there's no jarring cacophony of fragrances like you know and hate from Douglas. Here you won't find any mainstream scents, only exquisite perfumes from small manufacturers, made with high-quality ingredients, and truly excellent customer service. I felt very comfortable, left with a wonderful fragrance, and will definitely be back for more of these tempting treats.
