Colombian empanadas and cocktails in the Französisches Viertel

Empanadas and a good cocktail, in the same room. Encanto took over the old Café Latour spot and turned it into a Caribbean café-bar where Colombian empanadas sit on the menu next to coffee and drinks.

The name nods to the Pferdeställe, the old horse stables the quarter is named for, part of the former French garrison. Days run on empanadas and coffee for the neighborhood, nights shift toward music and drinks, and the summer terrace fills fast.

A lovely spot to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat in a relaxed atmosphere. The ambiance is very stylish and lively. The food and drink menu is concise and reasonably priced. I recommend the mango lemonade.

Highly recommended! Great drinks and perfect paneadas. Superb service, wonderful hosts. Incredibly kind to children. Excellent value for money. Great decor and very tasteful music, not too loud to allow for easy conversation. A lovely place to relax. We'll be back.

At Encanto, modern ambiance meets South American/Caribbean warmth! A top spot for both afternoon coffee and evening drinks. The homemade empanadas are incredibly delicious, and the little ice cream parlor is a hit with everyone, not just children, during the summer months. Another highlight is the diverse range of events: from stand-up comedy and pub quizzes to "Social Fridays" with a DJ and parties with live music – there's truly something for everyone! We've even booked Encanto for a private birthday brunch and were absolutely thrilled! This bar is definitely a huge asset to the Franz Quarter and has already become an indispensable part of the neighborhood :)
