Volta Winery makes wine from Ghanaian cocoa, coffee and cashew. The site sits on Amexoe-Doe Crescent in Vordep, on Ho's edge. It's open Tuesday to Sunday from 5pm for tastings and sales. It's rare in Ghana: a working winery built around crops the country grows, not imported grapes.
The bottles turn up at weddings and corporate events beyond Ho. But the tasting room stays a local, low-key stop. It's the kind of place recommended by text, not a listicle.
