A Playa Poniente terrace named for a coffee lover

Café Mena sits on Playa Poniente with lake views that catch the sunset from the terrace. Specialty coffee and author's cocktails share the menu, a common pairing on this island where the same spot often does breakfast crowd and evening drinks.

The space is named for Filomena, known as Mena. The owners describe her as devoted to coffee, cooking, family and friends. It's floral and a little more considered than the plastic-chair cafes elsewhere on the island.
