Mango Tango

Mediterranean food and homemade pasta by the water
Most of Utila serves Caribbean or American standards. Mango Tango does homemade pasta and proper Mediterranean cooking instead, plus a cocktail list built on real liquor, not rum and mixer. It won first place at the BICA Lionfish Derby cook-off.
The entrance is plain enough that regulars walk past it for days before trying it, which by now is basically part of the restaurant's lore. Sunday brunch is eggs benedict and mimosas.
Good to know
- Sunday brunch means eggs benedict and mimosas, worth planning around.
- The exterior undersells it. Don't judge the food by the street-facing entrance.

Did my birthday party here. We had a set up outdoor.. It was presented fairly well. The owner came took the time to greet us. The food was okay,,I would not say the best on the island that I've tasted, but fair enough. The prices are a little high for the quality... Overall we enjoyed it.

Some of the best dishes we had while staying on Utila. The pasta is absolutely delicious and the atmosphere is gorgeous. It’s on the pricey side, but it’s definitely worth the price.

The food was very tasty, but the price was not sufficient in relation to the quantity. The margarita was very good 👌 In my opinion, it was the best in Utila compared to Cozumel and Tulum in Mexico. At this restaurant, you could really taste the blend of tequila and lime. Highly recommended.
