Hungarian and Mediterranean plates a block off Széchenyi tér

LAMAREDA sits on Apáca utca, a short walk from Széchenyi tér, split into a casual bistro up front and a quieter dining room behind it. The kitchen moves between Hungarian and Mediterranean cooking, building dishes around good produce rather than a fixed theme.

The restaurant holds a Michelin Plate in the guide's Hungary selection and two chef's hats in the Gault&Millau Hungary 2026 edition, one of the few Győr kitchens the national guides track. Weekends book up fast.

A very delicious evening. No meat, but wonderful vegetarian fusion kitchen. When I started to look for a dinner location, I had something in mind but the reality was 💯 better. An excellent waiter at the beginning, but the waiters changed. Sitting outside was less ambience.

This Michelin-recommended restaurant in Győr was a fantastic experience. The goulash was the highlight of the evening — incredibly tender, rich, and full of flavour, with meat that literally melted in the mouth. Traditional Hungarian cuisine done with real finesse. The dessert was also beautifully balanced: fresh strawberries, creamy textures, crunchy pistachios, and refreshing sorbet worked perfectly together. Elegant food without unnecessary pretension. Definitely worth visiting while in Győr.

Great location and a pleasant atmosphere that made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. I had dinner here yesterday with friends and we all had a wonderful experience. The food was excellent, with unique and exciting combinations of flavors, and the presentation was impressive. You can clearly see the care and creativity that goes into each dish. Overall, a lovely place for a memorable dinner with friends. Highly recommended.
