Most new cafes in Mahanagar chase an Instagram-priced crowd with design-forward rooms and coffee to match. The WAB Cafe, a spinoff of the local Wat-a-Burger brand, went the other way.

Dishes start under 100 rupees on the lower ground floor of the Sector B Road building, right below Bata. It's built for volume, not for the photo.

We recently visited this café with my wife, children, and grandchildren. We only tried tea and coffee, which were decent and served fairly quickly. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable enough for a family outing, though nothing particularly special stood out. The staff was polite, though the service felt a bit routine rather than warm. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience for a simple tea and coffee break, but I would need to try more from their menu before forming a stronger opinion.

This place is not as one would expect. EDIT- Visited again and the taste has improved a lot since my last visit. Usually places like these are expected to have tasty food at a good price. But it’s mediocre. The fried momo were tiny in size and tasted like “khasta” The jalapeño roll was good in taste but a little pricey,given the size. There is a serious shortage of staff who take a lot of time in preparing the food and attending to their customers. They need to be a little professional. (One of them served us a wrong item and didn’t even give any sauce with the momo) There are limited options available in soft drinks. The place is alright for a friends meet up. From presentation to flavor, everything was on point. 😍 The ambiance was just right—cozy, welcoming, and perfect for late-night catch-ups or cravings. The best part? They’re open for dining till 1 AM, so it’s now officially on my list of go-to late-night spots! Highly recommend giving it a try. You won’t be disappointed.
