Vintage interiors and a Mont Blanc coffee riff on Diponegoro

Skip the white-and-wood look every new Palembang cafe seems to have picked from the same catalog. Huma Union goes vintage instead, and it's open around the clock in a neighborhood that never had a 24-hour spot before.

Order the Mont Blanc coffee: espresso under soft cream with a strip of orange peel. It's odd enough that regulars order it for first-timers just to watch their face. The kitchen runs deeper than a typical coffee shop too, closer to a full menu than a snack counter.
