Cafe Basimta

The courtyard cafe that's open on Shabbat

Between Agripas and Jaffa Street, a courtyard hides one of the few new center-city cafes actually open on Shabbat. Coffee, matcha, sandwiches and pastries, all made slow rather than fast.

The courtyard sits quieter than either street around it. On a Saturday in this city, that alone is worth the detour.

I really think the strongest attribute this place has is the service, which is extremely fast, I got my 4 drinks in around a minute. Everything was very good and the place looks amazing.

I’ve been to a lot of coffee shops in my life. This is one of the best, and I’m talking globally. It’s the place itself - spacious, cozy, has a feel good vibe. Excellent staff, well made coffee and great atmosphere overall.

One of the most charming cafes I've been to with a relaxed atmosphere Lots of corners and work spaces and excellent internet The coffee is among the best I've had and somehow also among the most affordable The only downside is the limited food menu Highly recommended!
