Cocktails, DJ sets and Sicilian small plates in Civita

Skip the usual bar snacks. Civita runs a short menu of Sicilian small plates alongside its cocktail list, with DJ sets keeping the sound system as central as the drinks. It calls itself Beats, Bites and Bottles, and it means it.

The bar sits in the Civita quarter, a pocket wedged between the busy historic center and the redevelopment zone of San Berillo that has never had much of a nightlife scene. The owners built it partly to change that, and the neighborhood pride shows.
