Japanese-grown black tea, eighty-eight ways
Wakōcha is black tea grown and processed in Japan, an industry that's spent about twenty years rebuilding itself. This shop on Hondōri sells nothing else, leaves sorted by estate.
It sits inside the covered arcade, so it works as a break in the middle of a shopping run. Can't decide? They'll pour you a flight.

A stylish and very relaxing Japanese black tea specialty shop ♡ The scones for dessert are also delicious And you can buy tea leaves in the shop to enjoy at home, which is great!! I'd like to go for lunch next time!

This is a hidden gem of a cafe where tea takes center stage. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and the attentive service is very soothing. Their Japanese black tea has none of the typical astringency or bitterness, making it incredibly easy to drink. I received some from an acquaintance some time ago, and I was very impressed when I first tasted it. They have a wide variety of teas available, but they explain each one carefully and recommend some, so you don't have to worry too much about choosing.💡 This time I had it with cake, and I ordered a recommended tea, enjoying the pairing (is that the right term??). They also seem to serve lunch, and curry and tea?? It sounds delicious and I'm curious to try it!👀✨ They also sell tea leaves in the shop, and there were lots of customers!❣️ It's a place I definitely want to visit again!

The atmosphere was lovely, and both the cheesecake and the Japanese black tea were delicious. It's a bit pricey, but it's the kind of place I'd like to visit as a treat once in a while.

This is a hidden gem of a tea shop. The prices are a bit higher than a regular coffee shop, but it's well worth the money. Even the iced tea has a wonderful aroma, and it was so delicious I had three cups! The homemade Japanese black tea cake was also delicious. Personally, I recommend the Canary tea. I even bought some tea bags to take home. It's close to my house, so I plan to become a regular.
