A Katamachi coffee counter that turns into a DJ bar after dark

Coffee counter by day, DJ bar by night, same room in Katamachi. Salabo closes the espresso machine at seven, then flips the switch: a DJ booth takes over and runs into the early hours on weekends, under gold leaf mirror balls hanging over a bar built from Kutani pottery panels.

Since opening in June 2026, it has hosted DJ sets and live painting nights, pulling in touring names alongside local regulars. The room is built so visitors and Kanazawa locals actually mix.

I visited during cafe time because I wanted to drink some delicious coffee. The rich cheesecake paired perfectly with the deep, flavorful coffee, making for a truly relaxing experience! The conversation with the staff member was also enjoyable; you can have fun even if you go alone! It's a stylish space with a warm and friendly atmosphere! I definitely want to go again.
