Aqaba's first restaurant built entirely around Asian food
Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Indonesian and Singaporean dishes share one menu here, a spread this city hasn't seen before. Executive chef Ricardo Peña built it wide on purpose, in a place where Asian food used to mean a sushi counter and not much else.
Sushi still made the cut, a nod to what already works at Aqaba's Murasaki and Mirchi. Dinner runs Monday to Saturday with sea views over the Saraya lagoon.

The sushi was incredible as were the cocktails. Abdullah and all the staff took very good care of us. We will be returning

The only reason I give KAI 4 stars and not 5 is because the music played by the DJ was so loud that we could really not talk easy. I cant understand having a disco in a Japanese/ Asian style restaurant. The sushi was probably the best I have ever had. Service was great! Well done.

Fantastic food, great ambience and very attentive staff - especially Abdallah! Would recommend for a great Asian cuisine in Aqaba! Also accommodated the meals to us (changes meat meals to be vegetarian) which was lovely.

Nice place, enjoyed the salmon and their mocktail was great. The atmosphere and service were good overall. Worth a visit if you like Asian food.

Kai in West In Aqaba is an absolute treasure. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and a stunning view over the lagoon that instantly set the tone for a memorable evening. The ambiance is elevated by beautiful live music that adds charm without overwhelming conversation. The food was exceptional. The sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The Chinese dishes were equally impressive, with rich, authentic flavors and thoughtful presentation. One of the highlights of our visit was the “Hungry Hour” between 7–8pm, where they offer a generous 30% discount on the food. That said, even without the discount, the prices are very reasonable considering the quality, service, and setting. What truly made the evening unforgettable was our host, Christine. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Her warmth added a personal touch that made us feel right at home.
