Mara Vegas opened on 12 December 2025 along the Narok-Bomet road, opposite the Texas petrol station. The launch night was big enough that Narok's Facebook groups kept arguing about it into the new year. By day it runs as a sports bar with big screens and match coverage, then turns into a nightclub after dark with DJ sets and touring acts, Kenyan singer Prince Indah among the names booked since the opening.

The location does some of the work too. Sitting across from a petrol station on the Bomet road puts it right in the path of Mara-bound traffic, a crowd the older bars in the town center rarely catch.
