Art on every wall, dolma with dried fruit
The walls do half the talking at Māsa, covered in local and international art including Danish artist Luka Bjørnsted's deliberately childlike kittens. The kitchen holds its own too, with hummus, chicken liver pâté and a proper tartare.
Order the dolma. It's an untraditional build with rice, dried fruit, tomato sauce and fennel that's become the house signature. Wine and cocktails carry the rest of the night, and the whole thing reads like a Tbilisi-Tel Aviv hybrid dropped onto Dzirnavu iela.

Arrived early for our reservation and were welcomed warmly. Good dishes, but not great. Long wait time between courses. Hoped for better for the price - nothing wrong with anything, but definite room for refinement. Thank you!

We had a wonderful birthday meal shared with friends here. The staff were delightful and the food was perfect - get a few things to share for the table to start. Reasonable wine menu compliments the food well too. Fish Kiev was a creative highlight.

Great seasonal menu from local produce, creative cocktails and a lovely wine list. To top that off - an unexpected yet very welcomed excellent background music!

I’ve been here multiple times, it has a wonderful interior and vibe, great cocktails and ambiance. The service is 50/50, sometimes it can be great and with friendly waiters, sometimes it can fall a bit short. During my most recent visit I tried the shrimp pasta, which was really tasty and well prepared. For dessert, the honey cake wasn’t for me - the buckwheat flavor was too strong and nutty. But the other desserts (chocolate mousse and pavlova) are delicious. During my previous visit in winter, I really loved the pumpkin risotto, I hope it will be returned to the menu during the colder months.

Māsa deserves more stars. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Riga. From the food to the atmosphere and service, everything felt Michelin-level. Every dish was thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully presented without feeling pretentious. A must-try when visiting Riga. This is the kind of restaurant you remember long after the trip ends.
