The only English-language bookshop in the capital

Finding an English novel in Antananarivo used to mean waiting for a friend to fly in with one. Everyay fixed that, setting up shelves inside the Cité des Cultures on Place de l'Indépendance in Antaninarenina.

By mid-2025 the shop had shipped in around five tonnes of English-language books through a freight partner, a serious haul for what began as a single shelf inside someone else's cultural center. Local paper L'Express de Madagascar called it a first for readers here.
