Le QG opened across from the Car Center in Ambonara in March 2026. It packs four ideas into one building: a full restaurant, a tea salon, a bakery-pâtisserie and an ice cream counter. The Facebook page passed ten thousand likes within weeks. Nosy Be had bakeries. Nosy Be had beach bars. It didn't have one address doing croissants at 7am and dinner at 9pm.

The name means roughly "the HQ," and it runs like one: long hours, a formal dining room next to a casual salon de thé, and a takeaway counter for pastries and ice cream. The owner also runs Manjary Express, the delivery service that worked Hell-Ville before Le QG gave it a storefront.

Perfect for breakfast. Delicious espresso and croissants. Unfortunately, it's located on the main road, making it far too noisy for business meetings. Not to mention the unpleasant odor emanating from the neighboring property. In stark contrast, the restrooms here are the cleanest in town. Friendly staff. With very few exceptions (e.g., Brianne), they operate on the principle of "mora mora" (slow and steady wins the race). Businesspeople with limited time should therefore always order everything at once, ask for the Wi-Fi code and the bill simultaneously, or better yet, avoid scheduling business meetings there altogether. Otherwise, you'll be forced to spend half the day there. Nevertheless, it's one of the few cafes on the island that truly lives up to its name.
