The Dia Space

★ 5.0 · 9 reviews Kuala Lumpur Opened 2026

A restored shophouse above a bakery, given over to rotating Southeast Asian brands

Dia Guild started in 2020 as an online platform for Southeast Asian makers. The founders later took a small unit in Bangsar Village II, then went much bigger: the first floor of a restored heritage shophouse at 4 Medan Pasar, right above the KLCG bakery, on one of the oldest squares in Kuala Lumpur.

There's no fixed stock here. Labels take the room for a run of a few weeks, and whatever's left on the calendar fills up with book clubs, journaling workshops and talks. Ceilings are high and beamed, the windows open onto Medan Pasar's colonial facades, and the whole setup treats a shop as somewhere to sit down too.

Good to know

  • Open Wednesday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • The entrance is the staircase beside KLCG bakery; the shop is on the first floor.

The Dia Space is such a gorgeous event space, a beautifully restored heritage building with so much charm and character. I really love how intentional The Dia team are with the events and collaborations they curate. They genuinely champion local brands and creatives, and there’s always something fun happening there. It’s right above KLCG Confectionery & Bakery which has amazing pastries and parking is pretty manageable with nearby options or valet.

Organised a docu film screening with my partners a few months back. The space itself was amazing, and that says a lot about the people behind Dia Space. Very warm, welcoming, and accommodating throughout the experience. It’s one of those spaces in KL that makes you feel inspired and easy to adore!
