Latitude 6 Cafe

A day-only cafe named for Langkawi's latitude
Most places in Pantai Tengah wake up for dinner. Latitude 6 does the opposite, running breakfast and lunch only, named for the sixth parallel that runs just below the island.
Set back from the beach road, it stays quiet even when the strip gets busy. Good spot to write postcards before everyone else has had coffee.

Such a lovely cafe - it’s a gorgeous space for dining and relaxing. The service is attentive and warm and the food is delicious! We loved the rendang curry, pasta and drinks.

Ordered the chicken rendang and it was so good! Super flavorful and definitely worth trying. And you have to save room for dessert, the Honey Biscoff Thick Toast and Cempedak Cake were both so good. Definitely a must order. Will be back for sure! 😋

One of my go-to cafes in Langkawi! The Sambal Udang Nasi Lemak and Tomyam Spaghetti are always my favorites—they never disappoint. Even the Honey Biscoff Big Toast is so simple but done perfectly. Everything I’ve tried here has been consistently good. Definitely worth coming back for!

Food is very delicious and the staff is super friendly. It also didnt take long until our food arrived - so I don't agree with some comments here. :)

Visited this newly opened cafe and was excited to try it out, especially given its association with a Singaporean celebrity. The atmosphere was pleasant, with a modern and comfortable setting. It can get a little noisy when larger groups are present, but it remained acceptable during my visit. The open kitchen concept is interesting, although I noticed quite a large number of staff working in the kitchen area. Unfortunately, the dining experience was let down by several service issues. Our coffee arrived promptly, but the fruit tea was missing from the order. It was only served after we enquired about it, with the explanation that the tea needed additional preparation time. Fair enough, but it would have been better if this had been communicated earlier. The fruit tea itself came in a teapot that appeared to be defective. Pouring the tea resulted in spills on the table. After informing the staff, the fruits were transferred into a glass, but the replacement setup still did not solve the issue, as the tea could barely flow through the spout, likely due to residue blocking the filter. The biggest disappointment was the Nyonya Curry Chicken with sourdough. It took almost an hour to arrive. When we checked with the staff, we were told that the dish had mistakenly been served to another table. To their credit, the team acknowledged the error and offered a 10% discount, which was appreciated, although it did not fully compensate for the lengthy wait. On the positive side, the Caramel Macchiato was smooth and creamy, while the Banana Waffle was crispy and enjoyable. Had these service issues not occurred, this would easily have been a 5-star experience. As a local, I am willing to return because I genuinely hope the team improves over time. A simple improvement might be for the service captain or floor supervisor to regularly check each table to ensure all orders have been delivered correctly. From what I observed, there were plenty of staff present, but the service flow did not reflect the manpower available. Strengthening communication and order verification processes would likely prevent many of these issues. Looking forward to seeing how the cafe develops in the coming months.
