Two floors of serious coffee on Jonker Street
Jonker is Melaka's busiest walked street, lined with souvenir shops and tourist restaurants. A cafe that treats coffee as the main event, and shuts before the night market even starts, stands out here.
Kopi Harian takes up two floors of a shophouse on Jalan Hang Jebat. Head upstairs for the quieter tables, and get there before 5.15pm, when last orders go out.

Ordered the toast, laksa and cendol. They were very delicious and the portion was huge. There was a long queue but it moved fast. We queued for about 20mins. Overall, the atmosphere was nice. Highly recommend.

Great place to have breakfast or lunch; make sure to come early if you dislike queuing up, we’ve went there on weekdays 11am yet still have to wait for 35 minutes ++ (bring an umbrella too, have to queue under the sun) The food was worth the wait!! Curry laksa strong enough, with two big prawns in it; nasi lemak ayam berempah was fragrant and delicious too, their combination of sambal with lime juice were perfect; also, butter kaya toast and cucur udang is a must for large group as a sharing platter, cucur udang very crispy and flavourful :))

Came about 1100h; a short 15mins queue. (Quick turnover) Upstairs seating; order at counter. Food came promptly about 10mins later. (RM$205/6pax) Love the laksa - delicious & flavorful broth & packed with ingredients - probably the best I tasted so far in Malacca. Coffee & Toast was also good. But the sliced beef in the stir-fry Kway Teow was tough; no wok hei.

Huge portions for the mains, so order accordingly. 1 main to share for 2 people at least or even 3. A must order is their eggs and toast. Matcha mochi toast, Orh bee butter toast and Kaya butter toast are super yums! Nasi Goreng ayam is delicious as the Nasi has a lot of herbs and flavor in it. The chicken is very flavorful and tender too. Fried kuay teow is another dish worth ordering too. The wok hei and silky yet al dente kuay teow makes the calories all worth it! For our group of 6, we did find their coffee abit on the sweeter side. The only downside is that you have to be there before the cafe opens at 9am, else you will be standing in line under the scorching hot sun. We reached at 8.40am, joined the queue and were lucky to be in the first seating. Staff are all patient and friendly too.

Saw a huge line outside, to be honest, in this heat? No thanks. We grabbed a quick bite next door and came back around 2:00 PM. The crowd gone out a lot, and we could wait inside. Got seated in about 10 minutes, but you still have to line up at the counter to order. (This part need some improvement, should allow order via a paper or a QR code, making people line up again is just a total waste of time). For the food, we ordered the Matcha Butter Toast, Taro chicken Floss Butter Toast, Laksa, Cendol, and Char Kway Teow. we added mochi to both toasts, it's a really nice texture. The matcha one was a tiny bit too sweet for me, but overall they were good. The laksa was good, more of a curry type laksa. The broth was rich and flavorful. The Cendol is served as a blended shaved ice, and it wasn’t sweet at all. They didn't use that super thick, heavy gula melaka, so it just had this light, refreshing sweetness. A great twist on the classic, definitely a mustorder. The Char Kway Teow was not good at all, skip it. Even though it had plenty of ingredients and a bit of wok hei, it just wasn't fried right. It was pretty greasy and they put way too many chili. Not recommended. For a new viral place, their food is actually pretty decent. Just come when it's less crowded (after 2 PM)
