Skip the food court. BlackSalt sits one floor up in Cascavelle Mall's new extension, doing seafood platters and steaks instead of quick bites. Chef Vic spent years cooking on cruise ships, and the menu reads like it.
Grab a balcony table over the atrium and watch the mall move below you. It's built as a destination, not a stop on the way to the supermarket.

Been there twice and the food is amazing. Good filling portions and delicious food both times. Topnotch service from staff. Pleasant setting as well.

The pkace is clean and spacious, the view is stunning, the staff are very friendly, the service is very good , the food is delicious and portions worth the price... I tried the sea food platter for tow and tbd fish curry and will definitely come back.

A nice place with the best steaks we have ever eaten in Mauritius. The food is delicious, and the staff is very attentive. The manager is a real professional: the restaurant had run out of the wine we wanted to order, so they offered us another option within the same price range. Besides, in the evening you can enjoy live music and the spellbinding voice of the musician. We would definitely recommend visiting this place :)

I recently visited your restaurant, and while the food tasted great, the presentation definitely needs some work. I ordered the Flic en Flac octopus. The taste itself was amazing—no comments there, it was delicious! However, the plating was not appealing at all, especially compared to other restaurants I’ve been to. When you have such a breathtaking, panoramic view of Le Morne, Tamarin, and Flic en Flac, a poorly presented dish really kills the vibe. It needs to look as good as it tastes so guests can take nice pictures! Aside from that, everything else was wonderful. The interior design is just "wow" and perfectly matches the seaside vibes. The service was also top-notch. Our server was adorable, and the man at the entrance was fantastic—he was so welcoming and genuinely encouraged my friend and me to come in. He deserves a raise for doing such an amazing job! Overall, it was a good experience, but the presentation disappointed me a little bit. I would give it 4 stars.

We were greeted at the door and given constant attention despite the restaurant being full. The platter for one was an absolute delight. The view is really amazing. Price is on the high range but the service quality matches the level. We had one of the best bananes flambés
