Contemporary Mexican design, laid out room by room

Empathy has sold contemporary Mexican design since 2015, but the address changed this year. The move into Colonias 295 put it back on people's radar, and Vogue México named it that April in a roundup of Mexican labels in Guadalajara.

The space runs as a string of rooms rather than one open floor, with the jewellery kept at the back where the light is best. Clothing, art, objects and jewellery all come from Mexican makers.

Good to know

• Weekday hours run 10am to 7pm; weekends close at 3pm.
