A 1940s flight deck bar above Tijuana's skyline

Tower Bar sits on top of Grand Hotel Tijuana, done up like a vintage train-and-airplane terminal from the 1940s. It's theatrical without trying too hard, more like boarding a departure lounge above the clouds than sitting at another hotel bar.

The real draw is the height. Genuine skyline views are rare in this city, and that's exactly why people book tables here for New Year's Eve.

I was extremely surprised to find such a great bar. They have live music that starts with a jazz set, then they play pop, rock and disco. The cocktails are great! (Perfect combination of alcohol and flavor). The service is excellent! The deco is modern, cozy and the acoustics are great! A place to go with great ambiance and taste! Very chic & classy. Our server was Abraham and his service was outstanding. A rare find in this city.
