Earrings, sakau and Pohnpei goods under one roof

JADESA is half gift shop, half export business, and it's rare to find both under one roof in Kolonia. Handmade earrings made from local materials sit on shelves next to sakau, coconut oil products and black pepper grown on the island.

It runs its own website and a genuinely active Instagram, unusual for a shop this far off the map. A good chunk of its customers now have never actually been to Pohnpei.

Good to know

• Look for the handmade earrings made from local materials - an actual Pohnpei-made souvenir, not an import.
• They also handle export orders for sakau, coconut products and black pepper if you want something shipped home.
