Kosrae reef diving minutes from Lelu Marina

Visibility here regularly passes 30 meters, and the reef stays uncrowded in a way divers notice fast. Micronesia Eco Divers runs guided boat dives from Lelu Marina, next to Island Hopper Hotel, and it's one of only two dedicated dive centers on the island.

Most sites sit minutes offshore rather than a long boat ride out. No gear? Rental's available, so showing up empty-handed isn't a problem.

Good to know

• Book dives a day ahead. Boats go out with however many divers have signed up.
• Bring your own mask if you have one; rental gear is basic this far out.
